First shown at gallery@oxo in 2017, this is a smaller curated version of the original exhibition but provides a further opportunity to see some of the vivid digital drawings and fascinating photographs under the theme Bankside's Past in the Present. The images and storylines are derived from Bankside's changing industrial landscapes, dating from the late 18th century to the present day. Following bulb planting sessions last December, help with the next stage of work to improve the flower bed in the south gardens. These sessions are to plant a range of pollinator plants to help improve biodiversity. The plants have been chosen to provide much needed nectar and attract insects which in turn will provide a food source for birds. Meet at the Colombo Centre at 11.30am for tea/coffee or meet in Bernie Spain Gardens (by Stamford Street) from 12 noon. Soup and bread lunch provided. The Southwark Planning Network (SPN) is arranging community hustings focussed on planning and regeneration. This is a hustings with a difference, creating a space where community perspectives on important planning policy matters can be raised with politicians seeking election.
