See Transport for London's plans to remodel the junction
around the BFI IMAX at Waterloo. Staff will be available on

MINT STREET MUSIC FESTIVAL

Free family-friendly music festival in the heart of The
Borough, now in its fourth year. This year the line-up
includes Nkomba, Norrell & the Dub Factory, Jaelee Small,
From The Cave, The Hatonauts, Kalima Project and the World
Wide Welshman & Beyond, plus choirs and dance displays from
the internationally acclaimed Los Romberos Latin American
dance group, Pioneer Dance and the Silverfit Cheerleaders.

LAMBETH FLORAL RIDE 2017
Saturday 15 & Sunday 16 July
Start 11.30am at Lower Marsh; free
Everyone is invited to take part and join the floral ride to
the Lambeth Country Show. Decorate your bike with locally
grown flowers or from your own garden. The North Lambeth
ride will set off from Lower Marsh, Waterloo at 11.30am via
Myatt's Fields and Loughborough Junction to the Show at
Brockwell Park. Families are welcome on the rides which will
be led and marshalled by cycling instructors from London's
largest cycle training company Cycle Confident. For more

BOUCHRA OUIZGUEN: CORBEAUX
Saturday 15 July
2pm & 5pm at South Terrace, Tate Modern,  Bankside; free
Moroccan dancer and choreographer Bouchra Ouizguen presents
a performance outside Tate Modern as part of the Shubbak
festival of Arab Culture. In Corbeaux the dark silhouettes
of women silently emerge from the shadows, then stop.
Forming geometric alchemical arrangements they move
accompanied by the sound of their cries.

VARIETY EVENING IN AID OF LONDON BRIDGE VICTIMS
Saturday 15 July
7.30pm at Welsh Chapel, 90 Southwark Bridge Road; £10 on the
door
A programme of jazz, acoustic covers, opera and the Borough
Welsh Choir - raising funds for victims of the London Bridge
attack and their families. All proceeds will go towards the
victims' and families' fund, set up by the Red Cross. A
buffet and wine is included in the ticket price.

TFL LAMBETH BRIDGE DROP-IN CONSULTATION EVENT
Sunday 16 July
11am-4pm  at Clore Learning Space, Garden Museum,  Lambeth
Palace Road
See the plans to redesign the junctions at either end of
Lambeth Bridge to make them safer for pedestrians and
cyclists.

FESTIVAL OF WELLBEING
Sunday 16 July
11am-4pm at Bermondsey Square; free
Festival celebrate the power of healthy life choices and
complementary therapies alongside traditional medicine and
treatments. There are free activities for all ages and for
those in need of some enlightenment there will be yoga,
mindfulness and meditation taster sessions as well as
workshops in head massage and aromatherapy. For children
there will also be a dance workshop and the ladies from the
Borough Belles WI will be there to supply the tea and cakes
as well as lot of local stores with food demonstrations. All
money raised will go towards local cancer care charity
Dimbleby Cancer care which provides practical and
psychological support to people living with cancer and to
their families and carers.

CHARITY CONCERT IN AID OF THE ROBES PROJECT
Sunday 16 July
7.30pm at St Philip's, Avondale Square; free; retiring
collection for Robes Project
St Philip's is a host venue for the Robes Project winter
night shelter. Members of the church and community volunteer
their time and resources to provide food, shelter and
friendship to homeless guests each winter. Now volunteers,
clergy, congregants and their friends - including The Big
Local Community Choir - will offer their musical talents to
entertain and raise money for this worthy cause. The lineup
includes Dominick Felix (tenor), Jan Rautio (piano) and
Iwona Boesche (violin). Refreshments will be served during
the interval.
