POLYPHONY DOWN THE PUB
Monday 14 December
7pm at The Horse & Stables, 122-124 Westminster Bridge Road
Singing/socialising event - a pub 'jam session' but instead
of playing folk music or jazz, people turn up to sing a
cappella masterpieces from the 16th century by Byrd,
Victoria and others. Anyone who can read music and wants to
take part should download the sheet music from the PDtP
website; anyone who doesn't read music is still welcome to
come along and listen. No audition, no rehearsal, no
performance; just people in a pub making music. This is the
final event of 2015 and will include some of the finest
Renaissance choral music written for the Christmas season.
There will be a collection on behalf of the Royal Voluntary
Service on the night, with a suggested donation of �5.

SE1-based charity Connect (the communications disability
network) presents its annual carol concert in association
with London Bridge Hospital and the London Stroke Choir.

CAROL CONCERT
Tuesday 15 December
7pm at Southwark Cathedral,  London Bridge; �18.76 from

The programme includes an array of popular sing-along
carols, performances from the Quorum choir and readings from
special guest speakers. Money raised from the evening will
go directly to Feed the Minds who are transforming lives
through education projects in some of the world's poorest
communities.

songs with the Adam Street Singers and other London based

BERMONDSEY WALK WITH OLD MAPS

Join Ken Titmuss for a walk with old maps exploring the
one-time leather-making district. Among the warehouses you
will find 17th century houses and a Victorian smithy. See
how Bermondsey Council's Beautification Committee
transformed the Workhouse site. Beyond the old Watch House,
Ken will help you find traces of Bermondsey Abbey in
unexpected places.
