THE BRIDGE AT WATERLOO: HAVE YOUR SAY

St John's Waterloo is launching a new project to support
people into employment whilst providing new and improved
community and cultural spaces in and around its building.
Local people are invited to see and discuss the plans.

THE COMPLICATIONS OF HISTORY - STEPHEN HUMPHREY

of difficulties in history, including dating of events,

IWM London marks Armistice Day with a ceremony including a
bugler playing the Last Post and a piece performed on IWM's
trench violin.

REMEMBRANCE DAY CONCERT
Wednesday 11 November
7pm at Southwark Cathedral,  London Bridge; �12-�30 from

The Malcolm Sargent Festival Choir presents a Remembrance
Day Concert to honour the fallen in conflict and all those
who continue to suffer from its impact. The programme
includes Gustav Holst's Ode To Death, written after World
War I to mark the waste of life and futility of war, and
Brahms' song of lamentation N�nie. The concert reaches its
climax with a performance of Faur�'s Requiem. Conductor:

NICK GALE MEMORIAL CONCERT
Thursday 12 November
7.30pm at St George's Cathedral,  Lambeth Road; free
Concert in memory of Nick Gale, who was the cathedral's
director of music 2000-2013, and was killed in a road
accident in March 2015. The concert will include choral and
organ music, as well as jazz, and will conclude with
movements from Durufl�'s Requiem. Admission is free and
there will be a retiring collection toward chorister
training at St George's Cathedral. All are welcome to
attend.

Bach to Baby is brought to you by award-winning concert
pianist and local mum Miaomiao Yu. The idea is simply to
bring adults and kids of all ages together for a lively

LORD MAYOR'S SHOW FLOTILLA
Saturday 14 November
8.30am-9.30am on River Thames; free
A pageant of upwards of 20 traditional Thames cutters will
leave Westminster Boating Base in Pimlico at 8.35am and
proceed downriver, taking the centre arch at Tower Bridge to
arrive at HMS President at 9.30am. The new Lord Mayor of
London will travel on the Royal Row Barge Gloriana and Tower
Bridge will be raised in salute at 9.25am.

LORD MAYOR'S SHOW FIREWORKS DISPLAY
Saturday 14 November
5.15pm on River Thames between Waterloo and Blackfriars
bridges; free
To mark the end of the Lord Mayor's Show and the beginning
of a new mayoral year, the City of London's newly confirmed
Lord Mayor will launch a 10-minute fireworks display over
the river between Blackfriars and Waterloo bridges. Both
bridges will be closed to traffic to make more room for
spectators.

FESTIVAL OF BRASS & VOICES

Fresh from the Royal Albert Hall, enjoy the the sound of
