CHRIST CHURCH GARDEN PUBLIC MEETING
Tuesday 11 August
6pm-7.30pm at John Marshall Hall, Christ Church Southwark,
27 Blackfriars Road
Bankside Open Spaces Trust has called a public meeting to
discuss the future of Christ Church Garden. In the coming
years there will be major developments on three sides of the
garden - this is a chance to discuss the challenges and
opportunities presented by these developments with other
people who care about local green space.

HUMANS OF WATERLOO - DIGITAL MEDIA WORKSHOP
Wednesday 12 August
6pm-7.30pm  at Coin Street Neighbourhood Centre, 108

Join the Waterloo Sights & Sounds heritage group for a
summer project inspired by Humans of New York, photographing
and interviewing people in Waterloo and North Southwark to
create a digital record of the lives of people who live in,
work in and visit the area. Join the Coin Street Community
Builders communication team for a workshop about digital
media. It will cover popular forms of social media, what
they can be used for and how to get started.

invites you to a bustling Roman town as everyone anticipates
the return from war of the big-headed soldier, Milos
Colossus. But if he's expecting everything to be as it was
when he left for battle he's in for a shock. Expect audience
participation, sing-a-longs, mistaken identities and
slapstick galore as a colourful cast of clever slaves,
daring lovers and cunning tricksters take full advantage of
the chaos that peace brings.

trilogy by Euripides . As the skies darken so does the
story. In some of the most powerful drama ever written,
Euripides spins his gripping account of the courageous women
on opposing sides of the Trojen War; their sacrificies,
triumphs and tradegies. This new adaptation of Iphigenia at
Aulis, Hecuba and The Trojan Women will resonate
dramatically against the backdrop of international conflicts
today.

WATERLOO WALK WITH OLD MAPS
Saturday 15 August

Join Ken Titmuss for a walk with old maps exploring what was
there before the South Bank and across what was once called
Lambeth Marsh. Follow ancient trails and find buildings
whose secrets are un-locked with the help of old maps. With
the 1560 map, trace a lost river to where it joins the
Thames. Along the way the walk will feature Emma Cons,
William Blake and the Gold Refiner of Meymott Street.
