THE UNFORTUNATE MR MILLARD: LECTURE
Tuesday 19 March

Kirsty Chilton explores the fascinating case of a former
employee of St Thomas' Hospital who was arrested in 1823 for
entering a burial ground with the intention of 'raising a
body'. This talk will give an insight into the process of
bodysnatching and the gruesome work of the resurrection men.
Ticket price includes entrance to The Old Operating Theatre
Museum between 6pm and 7pm.

BOST VOLUNTEER TASTER DAY
Wednesday 20 March
10am-4pm  at Red Cross Garden,  Redcross Way
Want to find out more about volunteering? Want to help make
the area greener? Drop in anytime between 10am and 4pm and
have free tea and cake in the garden and have a chat to a
member of Bankside Open Spaces Trust staff about what
opportunities are available. BOST will be running gardening
sessions throughout the day for you to join in, so just turn
up any time. Wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty and
flat shoes. There will be gardening tasks for all abilities
and fitness levels guided by experienced staff. Come along
and get some fresh air while enjoying the environment of
this beautiful Victorian garden.

WATERLOO COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT GROUP GENERAL MEETING

LONDON EAR FESTIVAL
Wednesday 20 to Sunday 24 March
at The Warehouse, 13 Theed Street; Tickets start from �5,
full weekend passes from �35
A new festival dedicated to contemporary music. It consists
of 11 concerts over 4 days, and will see world class
performers from across Europe performing new music including
festival commissions, 15 world premieres and numerous UK
premieres. There will also be pre-concert talks and
workshops for instrumentalists, an International Composers'
Competition and a Featured Young Performer. Festival goers
will be welcome at the Festival Club in The Cello Factory in
Cornwall Road. Residents of Cornwall Road, any road that
adjoins it, Windmill Walk and Secker Street are invited to
apply for a free ticket to any one event, and are entitled
to concessionary prices to all other events. Apply by email
to [email protected] stating your name and address,
and the event for which you want a free ticket.

RUSH HOUR CONCERT: MOSTLY MOZART

Simon Over conducts Southbank Sinfonia in a programme of
works by Mozart. Meet the players in a post-concert Q&A as
they talk about their musical passions and progress so far
in this year's orchestra.

The 41st annual production of The Inner City Players.
Charles Dickens' tale of young Oliver Twist's struggle
through the Victorian workhouse, harsh employment and
London's underworld remains a classic tale.� Adapted into a
well-loved musical by Lionel Bart, it is poignant, tuneful
and filled with plenty of memorable characters. ICP is a
group of people of all ages (7-70+), who have been making
drama a focus for developing community in SE1 for over 40
