The group has produced a collection of projects which aimed to critique the developer's masterplan proposals. There are three opportunities to view the group's ideas: on Tuesday 14 August, Friday 17 August and Wednesday 22 August. In response to the London riots, Bernadette was inspired to do one act of kindness for a stranger everyday for a year. Bernadette will be at the shop throughout the day, and invites you to come and see the exhibition, say hello, do an act of kindness for a stranger and share your tales with her. Latino Festival promises a programme of live music, dance and capoeira from top of the range artists including Fulanito, Tato Marenco Band, Oi Brasil, Fuerza Vallenata, Cumbe, Tungurahua, Valenciz, Shakirita, Ayra Valentina and the Mestizo Folk group. Founded by Joel Gray and Nick Simonin, The Gut Club draws on many collaborators, artists, curators, musicians, actors, gardeners, foragers and butchers who believe that food is, and always will be, at the center of human cultural practice. For the event on Bermondsey Square they will be performing fresh recipes and edible offerings to the public free of charge. The food will accompany a series of talks. There will also be a series of film screenings in Shortwave Cinema.
