GARDENING GROUP AT ARCHBISHOP'S PARK
Every Friday
2pm at Archbishop's Park, Carlisle Lane
Join the group at 2pm every Friday in the park. Find them
behind the green door of the male changing room, planning
the planting or look out for the yellow high viz vests. The
group is are working on several areas of the park planting
herbs, flowers, trees and growing food. The group is free
and open to all. Any children must be accompanied at all

THE SOUTH LONDON BLACK MUSIC ARCHIVE

This talk about The South London Black Music Archive, Tate
Local's partnership project with Peckham Space, will be
chaired by Paul Goodwin, independent curator on Black
Urbanism. Peckham Space commissioned artist Barby Asante
will be discussing key themes that inform her work including
black music within the broader context of collaborative
practice. The South London Black Music Archive is the result
of six months work between Asante and youth project Leaders
of Tomorrow resulting in a limited edition vinyl artwork
which will be available at this talk. The exhibition is
showing at Peckham Space until 24 March 2012. Panel members
include Vallin Miller from Leaders of Tomorrow; Wozzy
Brooster from Midi Music at the Albany and Emily Druiff,
director of Peckham Space.

FAMILY STORYTELLING WORKSHOP
Saturday 4 February
1pm-3pm at Coin Street Neighbourhood Centre, 108 Stamford
Street; free
Local musician and storyteller Kate Portal will lead a
family workshop exploring connections between food, stories
and communication. The session will run as part of the
regular Coin Street Saturday Stay n Play session. For
families with children 0-8 years old.

CREATIVE:SPACE
Saturday 4 February
2.45pm-4pm  at Henry Wood Hall,  Trinity Church Square; �6
(children �4) from www.createarts.org.uk
This 75-minute creative:space event is a unique, fun and
interactive music concert specifically designed for disabled
children and their families. The music will be performed by
the exceptionally talented pianist, Derek Paravicini (who is
blind and has severe learning difficulties) and sjazz-funk
band Bad Ass Brass. There will be plenty of space for
children (and adults!) to dance along to the music, and
percussion instruments will be handed out for part of the
event so that all the family can join in the music-making.
Alongside the music, exciting colouring activities and
crafts activities are provided for all the family to enjoy!

CHORAL IKONS: THE CHOIR OF ROYAL HOLLOWAY

The Choir of Royal Holloway - directed by Rupert Gough - has
received wide critical praise for its recordings of music
from the Baltic region. A programme of some of the most
uplifting and beautiful sacred and secular pieces by Eastern
European composers and John Tavener.
