SHELL CENTRE DIALOGUE WALK & TALK EVENTS
Until Saturday 14 January
Braeburn Estates is a partnership between Canary Wharf and
Qatari Diar for the redevelopment of the Shell Centre on the
South Bank. A public exhibition will be held in early
February. This week a number of 'walk and talk' events are
being held to allow local residents and businesses to share
their knowledge of the area with the developers'
representatives.

OASIS COMMUNITY SCHOOL WATERLOO CONSULTATION MEETING
Tuesday 10 January

Oasis is proposing to establish a new secondary 'free
school' for the Lambeth North and Waterloo area to open in

WATERLOO LIBRARY BOOK GROUP

6.30pm at Waterloo Library, 114-118 Lower Marsh; free
The group is reading Derby Day by DJ Taylor. The library
buys 15 copies of each title chosen. The titles range from
contemporary bestsellers, to award-winners and the
occasional classic. New members always welcome. Attending
the group is free but there is a small charge for
refreshments (wine and crisps) for those who want them.

CLASSICS WITH MY BABY: DETOX WITH THE BAROQUES

A classical concert series for babies and toddlers performed
by award winning international artists (and local mums)
Miaomiao Yu and Philippa Mo. The perfect remedy to all our
Christmas excesses. Featuring music by Bach and paying
tribute to the Baroque masters by the Romantic Kreisler, and
Impressionistic Ravel. Studies show classical music can
bring tremendous benefits to young children, but the idea is
simply to bring adults and kids of all ages together for a
lively morning of exceptional music.
