DESIGN OVERTIME: ILLUSTRATE, NOMINATE, FONTIFERATE

With the last chance to see Drawing Fashion, be inspired to
create your own folio of fashion illustrations. Capture the
essence of fabulous frocks by emerging designers as made up
models stroll along makeshift catwalks. With Brit Insurance
Designs of the Year 2011 just opened, cast your vote for who
you think should win in the people's choice electioneering
special. It is also type time at the Design Museum. Be
inspired by Bruno Maag's 'Shape My Language' typeface
installation and spell out your love of fonts. Design and
display your creative endeavour and contribute to our
alphabet book which will be compiled throughout the evening.

BELLEVILLE WATERLOO: ROLLER RACING EVENING
Friday 25 February
6.30pm till late at The Horse, 122-124 Westminster Bridge
Road; free
A static cycling event in conjunction with LGBT History
Month, Southwark Council and Rollapaluza Roller-Racing. The
name is a nod to Belleville Rendez-vous, the acclaimed
animated film by Sylvain Chomet. Rollapaluza provides a two
Condor bike rig, alongside a custom built timer and live
commentary. Belleville Waterloo will be a lighthearted fun
event, in keeping with this year's theme of 'tackling
homophobia in sport', but also addressing more serious
issues with a short film shown at the start of the evening.
The film will show LGBT people talking about their
experiences with sport growing up and discussing how we can
make a more positive future.

THE QUAY CABARET
Friday 25 to Saturday 26 February
Fri & Sat 7.30pm; Sat 2.30pm at St Anne's Church Hall,
Thorburn Square; �10 (conc �7) including refreshments
Popular local theatre group The Quay Players invite you to
join them for their cabaret: a mixture of song, dance and
entertainment. The matinee performance will offer a caf�
style mixture of cream tea and cake, while the evening
performances will see the hall transformed into a theatre
style revue bar and nightspot offering snacks, cheese and
wine as you sit back and enjoy the show. The talented group
will bring you a glamorous mix of favourites from both
classic and contemporary musicals, together with jazz
standards and dance numbers.

Organised by Bankside Residents' Forum, the walk is for all
local residents who would like to find out more about all
the changes and building developments in Bankside. This is
also an opportunity for new residents who want to know where
to shop, drink, and understand their local neighbourhood.

you can buy a trombone ... this walk will give you an
insight into all that is going on in this exciting area
