SOUTHWARK CATHEDRAL SING-IN - LUNCHTIME CAROLS
Tuesday 21 December
12.45pm at Southwark Cathedral, London Bridge
In the final run up to Christmas local residents and workers
fill the Cathedral to sing a wide selection of carols and
hear the traditional readings as well as carols by the
Thursday Singers. This is a relaxed and fun way to really
prepare for Christmas.

CHARLES DICKENS' A CHRISTMAS CAROL
Tuesday 21 December
1pm at Woolfson & Tay, 12 Bermondsey Square; free
A short performance of Charles Dickens' perennial favourite,
A Christmas Carol, by actors from Inner Sanctum Theatre
Company. The one and only Nigel of Bermondsey, local folk
singer, will be performing Christmas carols and festive
favourites.

SOUTHWARK CATHEDRAL CAROL SERVICE
Wednesday 22 December
6.30pm at Southwark Cathedral,  London Bridge
This year the Cathedral Carol Services are based on the
nativity story as told in St Luke's Gospel - so there will
be plenty of angels and shepherds but no kings. The Great
Choir of the Cathedral (boys, girls and men) will be singing
and all will be done by candlelight. Come early to get a
seat.

MALTBY STREET CHRISTMAS MARKET
Thursday 23 December
9am-3pm  at Maltby Street & Druid Street
The assorted railway arch traders of Druid Street and Maltby
Street will open their shutters for a one-off festive food
and drink market. The new St John Bakery in Druid Street
will be selling bread, mince pies and Christmas puddings.
Other traders taking part include Neal's Yard Dairy, the
Kernel Brewery, Topolski, Monmouth Coffee, Booth's Fruit &
Veg and more.
