THE WALCOT FOUNDATION
The Walcot Foundation is the new name for The Lambeth
Endowed Charities.
The change has been made to reduce confusion and create a
clearer identity. Our principal charity is named after
Edmund Walcot, who left property in his Will of 1667 to be
used for the relief of the poor of Lambeth. "The Lambeth
Endowed Charities has been the umbrella name for some time,
but now that changes to The Walcot Foundation. We think
people will soon get used to it," said Hugh Valentine, the
Foundation's director.
The Foundation awards c�2 million pounds each year in grants
to help Lambeth residents on low incomes improve their
