EXHIBITION PAINTINGS FROM LESOTHO
Monday 28 September to Friday 2 October
1pm to 5pm at St George the Martyr,  Borough High Street;
free
Paintings from Lesotho in southern Africa by children of St
James' Anglican Mission. Also items for sale in aid of USPG
project providing health care in mountain villages.

OPEN MEETING FOR USERS OF MINT STREET PARK
Tuesday 29 September
6pm-8pm  at Mint Street Park,  Southwark Bridge Road
To discuss a series of practical improvements, particularly
for children, families and young people, in Mint Street
Park. Meet at 6pm outside Mint Street Playground to discuss
while walking around the park, followed by a formal meeting
inside finishing at 8pm Would you like to have better play
equipment? Improvements to the surfacing? More children
using the space? Do you have concerns you would like to
discuss? Or do you just want to show you care for the park?
The meeting will discuss plans to spend a combination of
funding, some of which is secure and needs to be spent quite
quickly. This open meeting is organised by your local park
steering group through Bankside Open Spaces Trust

MEET MALORIE BLACKMAN AT MULTICULTURAL BOOK FAIR
Wednesday 30 September
12pm-6pm  at Centre for Literacy in Primary Education,
Webber Street; free
Book fair for teachers, early years practitioners, parents,
librarians and students. Stalls by booksellers and
publishers specialising in multicultural resources. Malorie
Blackman will be speaking from 4.30pm and signing books at
5.30pm.

KIDS BULB PLANTING WORKSHOP
Wednesday 30 September
4pm-6pm  at Garden Museum,  Lambeth Palace Road; free
Children will be invited to decorate pots in which they will
plant narcissus bulbs ready for blooming in spring and have
a go at planting bulbs in a pattern in the museum garden.
The children will be able to take their planted pots home.

LAMBETH OPEN AT SOUTHBANK MOSAICS
Saturday 3 to Sunday 4 October
11am-6pm at Southbank Mosaics, St John's Crypt, 73 Waterloo

For one weekend in October, Lambeth artists and crafts
people across the borough will be opening their studio doors
wide open and free of charge to the public. This is an
opportunity for you to discover the creative talents who
live and work in your neighbourhoods. Southbank Mosaics is
