(1938-2008) AT COMMUNITY FILM CLUB

The story of Bede House, a community organisation working in
the inner city neighbourhoods of Bermondsey and Rotherhithe.
With an introductory talk about the Settlement Movement.

WATERLOO COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT GROUP GENERAL MEETING
Wednesday 16 September
7pm at Waterloo Action Centre, 14 Baylis Road
Find out about Tate Modern's community initiatives such as
the Community Film Club from Synthia Griffin, as well as
Tate's expansion plans. Waterloo Quarter BID is proposing a
temporary art/garden installation in Emma Cons Gardens
involving mirrors and the planting of 25 new trees. What do

BERMONDSEY COMMUNITY COUNCIL: REGENERATION SPECIAL
Wednesday 16 September
7pm at Shortwave Cinema, 10 Bermondsey Square
Meeting for Riverside, Grange & South Bermondsey wards. Meet
your councillors, hear about local projects and have your
say. The meeting will start with a performance from the
choir of St James's Primary School. Agenda includes a short
film on "Regeneration past, present and future". Cllrs Nick
Stanton and Linda Manchester will give a presentation on The
Future of Bermondsey. From 6.30pm local police and community
wardens will be holding a crime surgery in the cinema foyer.

TDAY - MAKE A TETRAMINE AND BRING IT TO POTTERS FIELDS
Sunday 20 September
Meet 3pm at Potters Fields Park,  Tooley Street; free
Tday is an event open to anybody and everybody who wants to
have a day out, meet people, have fun and make something out
the the ordinary. The idea is very simple - build your own
tetramine, get inside it and take it to the streets.
Everybody will then meet up, join all the tetramines
together creating a big wall and hopefully a lovely piece of
art. The event is free and open to everybody. In order to
participate all you need to do is build your tetramine and
bring it along. There is only one rule - in order for the
tetramines to join and tessellate they must be assembled in
60x60x60cm cubes.

MEMORY WALK
Sunday 20 September
11am at Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park,  Lambeth Road
The Memory Walk is Alzheimer's Society's annual sponsored
walk, where friends and families come together raising money
to support their local branch. The London walk begins at
11am on 20th September from Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park
(by the Imperial War Museum). There is the opportunity to
walk 2, 5 or 10 miles on the day and enjoy riverside walks,
music and entertainment and information stalls�it's a fun
day out for everyone! All walkers who raise over �100 will
be entered into a draw to win a pair of easyJet flights to
