STREET THEATRE AROUND LONDON BRIDGE
If you're around around Potters Fields Park, Tooley Street
and London Bridge City Pier from today till the end of the
month watch out for 6ft white rabbits, members of the public
airing their 'interesting' views on soapboxes, ballroom
dancers and a few other surprises courtesy of Team London
Bridge (new name for London Bridge BID) and Southwark
Playhouse.

STREET ART IN DIFFERENT CITIES: FREE TALK AT TATE MODERN

outstanding pieces of street art. At this talk he presents
his favourite works from Brazil and beyond. Also writer and

BAFTA SUMMER SHORTS: WOMEN'S WORK PROJECTED ON SOUTH BANK
Friday 8 to Saturday 9 August
9.30pm at Flytower, National Theatre,  South Bank; free
Free late-night open-air film screenings. A contemporary
selection of BAFTA nominated and award winning short films
and animation will be projected onto the National Theatre's
flytower. This programme showcases some of the best BAFTA
shorts directed by women.

LONDON POETRY FESTIVAL 
Friday 8 to Monday 11 August

As its signature presentation the 4th London Poetry Festival
will present this year's five Poets in Residence in all four
of the evening events. The poets are: Anjan Saha
(Hammersmith), Claire Askew (Edinburgh), Helen Long
(Tunbridge Wells), Nnorom Azuonye (Thamesmead) and Sharon
Harriot (Wimbledon). People may read their works on the
Festival website. There is an open mic slot every evening
for young poets to read. Each evening concludes with a music
session.
