EXPLORE NEW SOUTHWARK 2 - GUIDED ARCHITECTURE WALK
Monday 21 July
2pm at Borough Underground Station, Borough High Strreet; �5
Take a walk to see and hear about some of the new
developments in Southwark around London Bridge. Led by Paul
Taylor, Chartered Architect, City of London Guide Lecturer
and Associate, Institute of Tourist Guiding. Walk lasts
about 90 minutes. No need to book, just turn up.

DOGGETT'S COAT & BADGE RACE
Tuesday 22 July
Starts London Bridge 1pm
Annual scullers' river race from London Bridge to Cadogan
Pier at Chelsea founded by Thomas Doggett and first
contested in 1715. The young contestants, newly qualified
Thames Watermen and Lightermen, are followed by a flotilla
of spectator launches on the four mile and five furlong
course. Good viewing from Bankside, the Bridges and, of
course, the Doggett's pub on the end of Blackfriars Bridge.

SOUTHWARK PLAYHOUSE SECRETS

UNICORN THEATRE OPEN EVENING
Thursday 24 July
6pm at Unicorn Theatre, 147 Tooley Street; free
The Unicorn Theatre would like to hear your views as part of
its annual review. Led by artistic directors Tony Graham and
Rosamunde Hutt this is your chance to come and meet the team
that, find out about forthcoming shows, and put forward any
questions, opinions and suggestions. There will also be
guided tours of the theatre, including backstage, for anyone
who is interested. There's no need to book, just come along
to the main foyer for a drink from 6pm, with the Q&A in the
theatre from 6.30pm.

LOST AND FOUND OPEN WORKSHOP DAY
Sunday 27 July
10am-1pm  at The Clore Ballroom, Royal Festival Hall; free
Lost and Found Orchestra is the new show from the creators
of Stomp and makes its London premiere this Christmas at the
Royal Festival Hall. Featuring a 50-strong orchestra of
actors, dancers, musicians, singers and classically-trained
instrumentalists, all playing found and invented instruments
from violins replaced by saws and traffic cones becoming
trombones to performing shopping trolleys and musical vacuum
cleaners. Southbank Centre's Voicelab is recruiting a choir
to take part in Lost and Found. Led by Mary King, the
workshop focusses on singing and movement.

COMMUNITY DAY AT SCULPTURE GARDEN: St JOHN'S WATERLOO

Series of seven floating barge gardens connected by walkways

the Thames and demonstrate the diverse wildlife of the
river. Take part in art and craft, and sculpture workshops
using found materials. Bring a picnic and enjoy the
fascinating sights and sounds of the river.
