SHAKESPEARE'S BIRTHDAY EVENT ON A BOAT

A mini Elizabethan theatre will transported up the Thames by
boat from Butler's Wharf to Bankside with musicians and
performers entertaining crowds along the riverbank. The

SPRING PLANT AND GARDEN FAIR AT MUSEUM OF GARDEN HISTORY
Saturday 26 April
10.30am-5pm  at Museum of Garden History, Lambeth Palace

One of 2008's earliest plant fairs will offer visitors lots
of inspiration and a head start in the garden this spring.
Specialist nurseries will come together inside the Museum to
bring you a variety of species from clematis to shrubs to
tender and hardy perennials. Selected plants people will
give masterclasses throughout the day (free on a first come,
first served basis). Plus drop-in gardening workshops for
children.

HOLLAND HOUSE EVENT AT BERNIE SPAIN GARDENS
Saturday 26 April
11am-9.30pm  at Bernie Spain Gardens,  Upper Ground; free
The South Bank turns orange again as the Dutch invite the
Brits to party... In the Madurodam kids' corner there will
be plenty of fun and games. Sesame Street will be the main
theme with several fun activities planned such as face
painting and theatre performances. Adults needn't worry as
there is lots of entertainment for them as well. With an
extensive Dutch market and delicious local delicacies such
as herring, syrup waffles and a selection of cheese,
visitors will be spoilt for choice. There will be plenty of
local brew on tap as well, courtesy of Heineken! Famous
Dutch bands Crazy pianos as well as Bob and the Blue band
will entertain the crowds with some well-known international
favourites. Come and experience a little bit of Holland!
