World Book Day was be celebrated in style on the South
Bank last week as children from all 32 London boroughs
took a ride on the London Eye for special storytelling
sessions.

2pm-8pm at the National Theatre
An afternoon of free entertainment sponsored by
Barclays PLC. Marvel as the National is transformed
into an ocean liner, with a South Seas island theme
throughout the building. The event kicks off at 2pm
with a spectacular aerial display in Theatre Square. At
7.30pm there's a light and water show as the grand
finale. The rest of the afternoon will be filled with
storytelling, tours, treasure hunts and magic.
