THE WALCOT FOUNDATION The Walcot Foundation is the new name for The Lambeth Endowed Charities. The change has been made to reduce confusion and create a clearer identity. Our principal charity is named after Edmund Walcot, who left property in his Will of 1667 to be used for the relief of the poor of Lambeth. "The Lambeth Endowed Charities has been the umbrella name for some time, but now that changes to The Walcot Foundation. We think people will soon get used to it," said Hugh Valentine, the Foundation's director. The Foundation awards c2 million pounds each year in grants to help Lambeth residents on low incomes improve their prospects and employability.
