NATIONAL GARDEN SCHEME OPEN EVENING
Monday 21 May
5.30pm-8pm  at Lambeth Palace,  Lambeth Palace Road; £5
(children free)
Lambeth Palace has one of the oldest and largest private
gardens in London. It has been occupied by Archbishops of
Canterbury since 1197. Formal courtyard boasts historic
White Marseilles fig planted in 1556. Parkland style garden
features mature trees, woodland and native planting, orchard
and pond. There is a formal rose terrace, summer gravel
border, scented chapel garden and active beehives. Wine will
be available.

BOROUGH NEW MUSIC
Tuesday 22 May
1pm at St George the Martyr,  Borough High Street; free
Series of lunchtime concerts of work by contemporary
composers. This week: works for cello, electric guitar and
piano.

MEET THE AUTHOR & ILLUSTRATOR DAY
Wednesday 23 May
10am-4pm  at Central Hall, St Thomas' Hospital
Authors and illustrators will be signing copies of their
books in exchange for a donation to the Friends of Guy's and
St Thomas' Hospital. Confirmed participants include David
Barry, Coralie Bickford-Smith, William Boyd, Hugh Fraser,
Brian Murphy, Gary Parsons, Linda Regan, Chris Riddell, Tony
Ross, Brian Sibley, Paul Stewart, David Weeks and Jaz
Zarifian. All proceeds from the event will benefits patients
of both hospitals. Books will be for sale at the event via
Hatchards of Piccadilly.

Through psychological interpretations, Mary Wild will
analyse representations of women in horror films, in which
female bodies appear paradoxically fragmented, decayed and

takes to preserve IWM's largest object with our expert
conservators and put your learning into practice as you and
your family work through your very own specially-assigned

ship's fittings and furniture and care for fabrics with
specialised tools in these drop in sessions.
