VICTORY DAY ACT OF REMEMBRANCE
Tuesday 9 May
11am at Soviet War Memorial, Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park,
Lambeth Road
To mark the 72nd anniversary of the Allied victory over
fascism, the trustees of the Soviet Memorial Trust Fund will
hold an Act of Remembrance at the Soviet War Memorial in
Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park. The Mayor of Southwark,
local and national politicians, diplomats from the embassies
of the CIS and other countries, war veterans from Russia and
the UK, representatives from a broad range of political and
community organisations and many others will gather to pay
their respects at the Memorial dedicated to the 27 million
Soviet soldiers and civilians who died in the Second World
War.

HAPPINESS AND WELL BEING DROP-IN SESSIONS

Museums have been proven to help promote feelings of
wellbeing and reduce levels of stress. The London Fire
Brigade Museum is hosting two relaxing lunchbreak events
during Mental Health Awareness Week. Join a free yoga
session - bring your yoga mat. There will also be
therapeutic doodling as well as the opportunity to see the
London Fire Brigade's fantastic photography archive and get
creative by making a stop-animation mini-film.
