starring Vincent Price, brought the name Matthew Hopkins to
a popular audience. But what about the real Witchfinder
General? Join South East London Folklore Society on a
journey through an early modern England ravaged by civil
war, a spiritual battleground where it was not safe to be
cunning folk.

EASTER FAMILY FUN
Saturday 15 April
12pm-3pm  at Gabriel's Wharf,  Upper Ground; free
Free crafting session where children can decorate their very
own Easter card before heading off on an epic hunt to find
the Easter eggs that have been dotted throughout the wharf.
Adults can also join in on the fun and take part in an
interactive scavenger hunt for a chance to win a delicious
prize and a 50 voucher to use at The Wharf. Simply grab a
quiz sheet and explore the shops in Gabriel's Wharf to find
the answers to the questions and submit your sheet for a
chance to win.

George in Southwark Festival to sally forth in search of
fire-breathing scary monsters AND those magical creatures

solve the clues to find signs of St George and The Dragon
hidden in nooks and crannies in and around The Borough. The
Dragon Quest is devised and led by local writer-performer
John Constable with Katy Nicholls, based on an original idea
by Sarah Wheeler.
