Tuesday 7 February
1pm at St George the Martyr, Borough High Street; free
Clare Simmonds (piano) presents the inaugural concert in
Borough New Music Series 1. Opening with Tom Armstrong's
mysterious 'Capriccio', the concert includes the world
premiere of six hypnotic lullabies by Colin Riley, and ends
with the fizzy 'Furniture' by Graham Fitkin. But the
highlight is eight works composed specially for the
occasion, demonstrating the great imaginative range of
today's composers.
