CATHEDRAL SING-IN
Tuesday 20 December
12.45pm at Southwark Cathedral,  London Bridge
A chance to sing carols and traditional Christmas songs.

WATERLOO CHRISTMAS CAROLS
Tuesday 20 December
6pm-7pm  at Lower Marsh; free
An hour of festive singing directed by Euchar Gravina,
director of music at St John's Waterloo, with local choirs
leading the singing. The programme will include all the
best-loved traditional carols as well as family favourites
like Deck the Halls and Hark! The Herald Angels Sing. The
event is open to members of the public, enthusiasts and
choirs - young, old, amateur and professional. Song sheets
will be available to download at

CHRISTMAS WONDERLAND AT ELEPHANT & CASTLE
Wednesday 21 to Saturday 24 December
12 noon-5pm at Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre; free
Four days of free festive Christmas events for families to
come along and enjoy during the last few days before
Christmas. On Wednesday Mrs Claus will be in the Shopping
Centre with her home-baked cookies for children to decorate
in her workshop, and take home as delicious gifts. Santa's
elves will be spreading some extra Christmas cheer with free
festive face painting. On Thursday, jump inside a Giant Snow
Globe and have a photograph taken of your family or friends
enjoying a white Christmas. Photos will be printed and
available for free. Meanwhile Snow fairies will be
sprinkling their Christmas fair dust over the centre. On
Friday a Christmas Bauble craft making workshop will be
running for children to come and decorate their own baubles
for the Christmas tree at home. Santa's elves will be back
again bringing the Christmas cheer with more face painting
fun. On Christmas Eve Father Christmas himself will be
making an appearance on his big chair in the centre of the
shopping centre, followed by his two little helpers giving
out chocolates.
