Monday 5 December
4.30pm at Potters Fields Park,  Tooley Street; free
Join the children of Snowsfields and Tower Bridge primary
schools along with local businesses for carols at Potters
Fields Park and a lantern parade to Hay's Galleria.

BERMONDSEY & ROTHERHITHE COMMUNITY COUNCIL
Wednesday 7 December
7pm at 160 Tooley Street
Meeting for Grange, Riverside, South Bermondsey, Surrey
Docks, Rotherhithe and Livesey wards. From 6.30pm there will
be a presentation of the Bermondsey in Bloom awards. From
7pm local people will be invited to see the applications
submitted for the 2017/18 Cleaner Greener Safer programme
and feed back to councillors about the proposals for their
ward. Also on the agenda: Rotherhithe bridge proposal,
Canada Water Masterplan and community safety update.

A CONCERT FOR WINTER

The Globe's free annual showcase and celebration of the
past, present and future of Southwark, complete with song,
dance, poetry and performance by local groups. This year's
theme is 'The Wonders of Winter - songs and poems that
celebrate the season'.

8 ALBERT EMBANKMENT PUBLIC EXHIBITION
Saturday 10 to Tuesday 13 December
Sat 10am-4pm; Mon 12 noon-8pm; Tue 9am-8pm at The Workshop,
Lambeth High Street
Public exhibition of U+I's emerging designs for the former
fire brigade HQ at 8 Albert Embankment. The proposals are
set to retain and restore the grade II listed Lambeth Fire
Station building and deliver a modern new fire station and a
permanent home for the London Fire Brigade Museum. U+I also
propose to build more than 300 homes, create flexible work
space, provide a hotel and two new public squares with
restaurants, cafes and shops.
