GORGEOUS GARDENS PROJECT AFTERNOON TEA
Tuesday 7 July
5.30pm-6.30pm  at Bernie Spain Gardens,  Upper Ground; free
Join Coin Street Community Builders for a spot of gardening
and some afternoon tea on the sunny South Bank. People who
live and work locally are invited to come along and join
community gardener Natalie to help make Bernie Spain Gardens
gorgeous. No previous gardening experience is required just
come along and meet new people, spend some time outside and
try your hand at growing flowers, vegetables and herbs. Tea,
cakes and soft drinks provided. Open gardening sessions will
continue every Tuesday evening throughout the summer.

WESTMINSTER BRIDGE ROAD REGENERATION PROJECT PUBLIC
CONSULTATION EXHIBITION
Wednesday 8 July
10am-1pm  at Birdsong Corridor, St Thomas' Hospital,
Westminster Bridge Road

Lambeth North Station, the Westminster Bridge Road tunnel,

SCHOOLS MARKETPLACE
Thursday 9 July
12 noon to 3pm at City Hall,  The Queen's Walk; free
Organised by Capital Growth for the Food Growing Schools:
London partnership. Taking place for the second year
running, enterprising London schools can plan for a bumper
crop and sell their school-grown picnic produce to 600 staff
based at City Hall, and to members of the public. In 2014
nine lucky London schools even sold produce to the Mayor of
London, Boris Johnson, and Ireland's Prime Minister Enda
Kenny too!

ELEPHANT & CASTLE TOWN CENTRE PUBLIC EXHIBITION
Thursday 9 to Saturday 11 July

Mall, Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre
Public exhibition by the developers planning a new 'town
centre' to replace the existing shopping centre. The scheme
will incorporate a new campus for the London College of
Communication.

RUSH HOUR CONCERT

In the last Rush Hour before the summer holiday, the
sunshine of Italy is brought to London for one evening only
as Southbank Sinfonia previews a selection of the music to
be performed during the orchestra's forthcoming tour of
Italy.

The Tyger Cafe in Archbishop's Park presents a programme of
summer activities for adults, children and dogs. Activities

NORTH-SOUTH CYCLE SUPERHIGHWAY COMMUNITY FORUM

Boom Boom Pups will take you on an immersive, high-energy
and fun-packed adventure trip for all ages. Set within a
purpose-built graffiti installation the cats and pups will
bring to life an original children�s story interwoven with
freestyle hip-hop. Part of the Blackfriars Stories events
programme.

Festival to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Draper
Estate - and the more recent flourishing of the local Latin
American community. Taking place outside Draper House and
Tiendas del Sur, there will be stalls, dance, live music,
alpacas, magic, ice cream and a bouncy castle.

BASTILLE FESTIVAL
Sunday 12 July
12pm-9pm  at Borough Market and Bankside; free
Bankside and Borough Market's eighth annual Bastille
Festival. In honour of France's national day, the free
festival will be a celebration of French food and culture.
Enjoy family-friendly fun including magicians and street
performers. There will be live music, the classic French
game of boules and a French feast with Borough Market
traders serving culinary delights from crepes to comt�. In
the true spirit of the French revolution there will be a
guillotine provided by The London Tombs. Festivities will
continue into the night with the Bal Populaire � a
traditional open air party.
