HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL DAY ACT OF REMEMBRANCE
Tuesday 27 January
From 10am at Soviet War Memorial, Geraldine Mary Harmsworth
Park,  Lambeth Road
Refreshments in the Imperial War Museum cinema from 10am,
followed by indoor ceremony from 10.30am and wreath laying
at the Soviet War Memorial and the Holocaust Memorial Tree
in GMH Park from 11.30am. Guests will include civic and
diplomatic dignitaries, and Avram and Vera Schaufeld,
Holocaust survivors. This year�s theme, Keep The Memory
Alive, will be reflected in song by students of Notre Dame
RC Girls' School, a film narrated by Imelda Staunton OBE,
and memorial prayers led by Rabbi Dr Moshe Freedman. There
will also be music by members of Southbank Sinfonia.

COSMIC QUEST: FROM BABYLON TO THE BIG BANG

who have asked questions about the Cosmos over the
millennia.

FILM LOCATIONS IN BOROUGH - GUIDED WALK
Thursday 29 January
Meet 12.30pm at John Harvard Library, 211 Borough High
Street; free
Lights! Camera! Action! You�ve seen the film and got the DVD
� now join CoolTan Arts CoolWalks on a free guided walk to
get up close and personal with the streets and buildings of
Borough and Bankside that many familiar films have used as
their backdrop. Start at John Harvard Library at 12:30pm and
finish at Tate Modern at 3pm. The walk is approximately 1.5
miles and participants are asked to wear sensible walking
footwear and weather appropriate clothing.
