A series of lunchtime language courses will be running from
Thursday September 26th to Thursday November 28th

The lunchtime and evening courses will be held in-house at 
More London and are open to beginners, intermediate and
advanced speakers of French, Spanish and Italian. There are
also beginners and intermediate in Portuguese and German.

BOROUGH MUSIC SCHOOL COMMUNITY STALL AT BOROUGH MARKET
Friday 28 September
12pm-6pm  at Borough Market
Borough Market has kindly offered Borough Music School a
community stall in the Jubilee Market to help raise funds
for the charity, which offers subsidised music lessons for
children aged 6-15. Borough Music School will be selling
items donated from local artists and designers (pottery,
jewellery and more), greeting cards from the Royal
Watercolour Society, delicious brownies from Konditor & Cook
plus  raffle prizes from supportive local businesses
including Roast restaurant, Neal's Yard Remedies and Tate
Modern.

SARDANA WORKSHOP
Saturday 29 September
4pm-6pm  at St George the Martyr,  Borough High Street; free
Join in now to start learning the Sardana to be ready for
outdoor dancing on St George's Day next year. Catalunya also
keeps St George's Day and top experts from Barcelona are
teaching the national dance. When a circle becomes too big
more circles are formed. The plan is to have four or five
circles dancing outside St George's and in Borough Market on
23 April. This is the first chance to hear the music at this
gathering in the crypt of St George the Martyr Church in
Borough High Street.

REPAIR CAFE AT THE GOODLIFE CENTRE
Sunday 30 September
2pm-5pm  at The Goodlife Centre, 122 Webber Street; free
Repair Cafe is a community project first developed in
Holland, which encourages people to repair, reuse and
recycle their possessions to reduce waste and reverse the
rise of a disposable culture. Londoners are encouraged to
bring-in transportable broken household items to Repair Cafe
for assessment, and if deemed repairable by the organisers,
can start making their repairs in the Repair Cafe. DIY,
carpentry and electrical experts from The Goodlife Centre
will be on standby to advise and a selection of tools and
materials will be made available for use.

POOL OF LONDON: COMMUNITY FILM CLUB AT TATE MODERN

Basil Dearden's 1952 crime thriller. When their ship docks
the crew disembark as usual to pick up their lives in
postwar London. For one of them his petty smuggling turns
more serious when he finds himself caught up with a robbery
in the City. Filmed around Tower Bridge, Rotherhithe,
Bermondsey and Wapping in the year the trams stopped
running. Membership of the Community Film Club is primarily
