THE NEW ELEPHANT

A group of architecture students from London Metropolitan
University has spent the past year working in and around
Elephant & Castle trying to gain an understanding of the
people and area and looking at Lend Lease's proposals for
the Heygate Estate. The group has produced a collection of
projects which aimed to critique the developer's masterplan
proposals.

THE LEPROSY MISSION FESTIVAL OF FLOWERS: SOUTHWARK CATHEDRAL

People from all over the world will descend on London to
celebrate the 30th Olympiad and the 14th Paralympics. The
Cathedral will be the magnificent backdrop for a Festival of
Flowers with the theme of 'Transformation'. The artistic
director for the festival is Mig Kimpton, international
floral designer and multi-award winner including two gold
medals at RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

LITTLE BIG HORN
