waiting on Jubilee Gardens. The performance, carried out by
Chilean arts collective Casagrande, comes to the UK for the
first time and is the sixth of its kind to rain down poetry
on cities that have suffered aerial bombing in the past.
Part of the London Festival 2012, the project has previously
taken place in Berlin, Warsaw, Guernica, Dubrovnik and

Join Ken Titmuss for an evening walk with old maps exploring
the streets around St George's Circus, covering what had
been St George's Fields, about 150 acres of un-enclosed
marshy strip fields that had also been used as common land.
St George's Circus was a pivot for the new roads built to
connect Westminster Bridge and Blackfriars Bridge with the
already built up part of Southwark. As late as 1750 all that
stood on St George's Fields were a windmill and the Dog and
Duck Inn and pleasure gardens. It was all about to change.
