BANKSIDE RESIDENTS' FORUM: OPEN FORUM
Monday 6 December
6.30pm at Bankside Community Space, 18 Great Guildford
Street
AGM of the group that represents people who live in and
around Bankside. Agenda includes a presentation on the
future of Borough Market after the Thameslink Programme
works with Peter Wilkinson, chair of the market trustees.
Cllr Fiona Colley, Southwark's cabinet member for
regeneration, will also address the meeting. And there will
be a chance to learn about the planning issues facing
Bankside in 2011.

A candlelit concert of Christmas carols, choir performances
and readings by celebrity friends in aid of the NSPCC's
Child's Voice Appeal. There will be readings by celebrity
friends of the NSPCC, including Sir David Frost OBE, Esther
Rantzen CBE, John Hurt CBE, and Frederick Forsyth CBE. HRH
The Countess of Wessex will be giving a reading, as well as
attending the exclusive champagne reception.

THE AMAZING MAZIE PLOPINS: FAMILY PANTOMIME

The Quay Players amateur dramatics society presents a family

The Guy's and St Thomas' Charity Carol Concert is hosted by
David Dimbleby. David's father, Richard, was a patient at St
Thomas' Hospital, and the Dimbleby Cancer Care charity has
centres at both Guy's and St Thomas'. You will hear carols
sung by the Cathedral and Hospital Choir, meet some
inspirational patients and staff, and sing some of your
favourite carols. Mulled wine and mince pies will be served
after the concert.

OUR WORKSHOP POP-UP CHRISTMAS MARKET
Thursday 9 to Friday 10 December
1pm-9pm at Arch 897,  Holyrood Street
Graphic designers Our WorkShop have gathered lots of
designer/makers for a 2-day market. They are inviting local
residents and businesses to come down and do a spot of
Christmas shopping and have a mince pie or two to get into
the festive mood. As well as products from Our Shop, there
will also be graphic prints and illustrations, greeting
cards, candles, textiles and single speed bikes. Freee
goodie bags for the first 20 people through the door.

A CONCERT FOR WINTER AT SHAKESPEARE'S GLOBE

Regular meeting for residents of Riverside, Grange and South
Bermondsey wards. The theme of the meeting is Older People.
The meeting will feature presentations and discussions about
the services and support available to local elderly
residents. Come and hear about adult courses, volunteering
opportunities, leisure and wellbeing activities and the
benefits older people are entitled to. Plus a presentation
on emergency planning by Ken Matthews and Thelma Goddard.

CRISIS CAROL SERVICE
Saturday 11 December
6.30pm at Southwark Cathedral, London Bridge
The Crisis Carol Service will take place in the historic
setting of Southwark Cathedral. As ever there will be
readings and performances by the charity's members and
supporters The singing will once again be led by the Thames
Philharmonic Choir. The service will be followed by mince
pies and wine in the Cathedral. Tickets are free but please
