RELOVE FAIR: RECYCLE YOUR UNWANTED ITEMS
Monday 27 to Wednesday 29 September
12 noon-7pm at Bankside House, 24 Sumner Street; free
Come to the LSE's annual ReLove Fair to benefit students,
businesses and the wider Bankside community. Reduce your
environmental impact (and the impact on your wallet!) by
acquiring reused items at a small fraction of retail prices
and donate your unwanted items instead of throwing them
away.

BERMONDSEY COMMUNITY COUNCIL JOBS FAIR AND MEETING
Monday 27 September
6pm-9.30pm (main meeting 7pm) at Harris Academy Bermondsey,
55 Southwark Park Road
This event will be focused on the theme of employability,
training and skills development
Includes many of the useful support and training agencies
operating in the Bermondsey area, as well as some genuine
job vacancies. Opportunity to find out how the council are
encouraging employment in the area, what jobs and
apprenticeships are available and to tell us what residents
really want from their community council. Attendees will
include Building Contractors, St Giles Trust, Red Kite
Learning, Lewisham College, JobcentrePlus, BOSCO, Southwark
Youth Support, Armed Forces Recruitment, Southwark Works,
Springboard, and the Volunteer Centre, and more.

BBC RADIO 3 CHORAL EVENSONG LIVE FROM SOUTHWARK CATHEDRAL

Quarterly meeting for South Bank residents convened by MPs
Kate Hoey and Simon Hughes. Hear an update from Lambeth and
Southwark police representatives and the councils' community
safety cabinet members. Chris Eastern from Church.co.uk
gives an update on the success of their summer youth
projects and gives details of new projects you can get
involved with. An opportunity for you to ask the chairs,
local councillors and speakers questions and update other
local residents on news and issues in the area.

REAL FOOD MARKET ON THE SOUTH BANK
Friday 1 to Sunday 3 October
Fri 11am-8pm; Sat 10am-6pm; Sun 12 noon-6pm at Southbank
Centre Square,  Belvedere Road
On the first weekend of each month 40 selected Real Food
Festival producers come to the South Bank bringing Londoners
the opportunity to buy great quality, fresh produce and
ingredients at affordable prices, direct from the producer.
The local community will have a regular place to come and
buy seasonal, nutritionally-dense real food to take home and
cook with.

LSBU INNOVATION EXHIBITION: GREAT VIEWS FROM K2 ROOFTOP

Spending the summer in a holiday camp with her family,
Frances (Baby) falls in love with the camp's dancing
teacher. Starring Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze. Free
riverside open-air cinema. To celebrate the end of festival
The Scoop at More London has teamed up with members of the
cast and choreography team from the smash-hit musical Dirty
Dancing to present a fun Dirty Dancing Workshop from 6.30pm
to 7pm just before the film is screened on Friday 1st
October.  Learn how to dance like Baby and Johnny, win
tickets to the stage show and free Dirty Dancing lipgloss to
get you in the mood for the classic feel-good movie.

CHOREOGRAPHIC WORKSHOPS FOR LEADERS OF YOUTH DANCE GROUPS
Siobhan Davies Dance is giving 12 youth dance groups from
South London the opportunity to take part in The Making
Space. The chosen youth dance leaders and their groups will
participate in workshops led by four professional
choreographers to find new ways of making and shaping dance
for performance. The workshops are aimed at committed youth
dance leaders with a group or company that meet on a regular
basis, who have a focus on performance and an interest in
choreography. Groups from all different dance backgrounds
and styles are welcome. All applications and enquiries
