IRISH NAVAL SHIP LE ROISIN ALONGSIDE HMS BELFAST
Sunday 15 to Wednesday 18 March
10am-12 noon & 2pm-5pm at HMS Belfast, Morgans Lane, Tooley
Street; Normal HMS Belfast prices apply (adults �10.30;
children free)
To mark St Patrick's Day the Irish Navy has brought its
patrol ship Le Roisin to London. It is moored alongside HMS
Belfast. The Irish ship is open to the public this week. Le
Roisin P51 entered service in 1999 and is best known for her
dramatic rescue of the Canadian Forces submarine CHICOUTIMI
off the North Western Coast of Ireland on 5 October 2004
when she was seriously damaged in the rescue mission.

TRANSITION EXHIBITION AT BARGEHOUSE
Thursday 19 to Sunday 22 March
 at Bargehouse, Oxo Tower Wharf,  Barge House Street
An intriguing art experience stimulating the senses.
Transition combines multi-sensory and interactive art work
from creative artists from London and the SouthWest of
England. Within the labyrinthine Bargehouse, the
intertwining rooms and rustic ambience provide a backdrop to
inventive and intriguing artwork, crossing traditional with
contemporary media. The exhibition aims to awaken all the
senses, with installations incorporating sound as well as
visuals triggered by movement. Be prepared to encounter an
element of surprise around every corner!

hosts a lecture and book signing by Tim Butcher.
Award-winning journalist Tim Butcher successfully crossed
the Congo after a four-year tour as Africa correspondent for
The Daily Telegraph. He is currently serving as the paper's
Middle East Correspondent based in Jerusalem.

SOUTHWARK BUSINESS CONFERENCE: BOOKING NOW OPEN
