CHRISTMAS MARKET - FRIENDS OF ST THOMAS' HOSPITAL
Thursday 4 December
11am-3pm at St Thomas' Hospital,  Westminster Bridge Road
The Friends of St Thomas' Hospital Christmas Market will
have a wide range of stalls including cakes and home
produce, books, jewellery & cosmetics, toys, linens, gifts
and a tombola. The raffle will be drawn at 3pm.

MEET 'ST NICHOLAS' IN PERSON AT SOUTHWARK CATHEDRAL
Wednesday 3 December
5.30pm at Southwark Cathedral,  London Bridge
For the fourth year in succession, Better Bankside invites
all local workers to a Christmas Service at Southwark
Cathedral. The service - with music from the Merbecke Choir
- will last for about 50 minutes and be followed by the
lighting of the Cathedral's Christmas tree and carols around
the tree accompanied by the Dixie Ticklers. Mulled wine and
mince pies will be served at the back of the Cathedral. The
service will launch Better Bankside's appeal 'Bring a Better
Christmas'. You will also have an opportunity to buy
Christmas cards produced by Paintings in Hospitals following
a joint schools art project with Better Bankside. This year
the service will be attended by St Nicholas in person, or at
least in the form of Canon Jim Rosenthal.

BSO: CAROLS FOR COMMUNITY HEALTH CARE AT ST GEORGE'S
Wednesday 3 December
6.30pm-7.30pm at St George the Martyr,  Borough High Street
Everyone's invited to join staff and students from the
Southwark-based British School of Osteopathy (BSO) at a
special carol service. Key performers include soprano Eileen
Dreyer, a member of Winchester Cathedral's Waynfleet Singers
Choir and Dina Duisen, a young pianist from Kazakhstan. At
the end of the service there will be a collection in aid of
the BSO, followed by refreshments.
