FREE BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS NEAR CITY HALL
Monday 8 September
Potters Fields Park 10am-8pm; Southwark Crown Court 9am-7pm
Free blood pressure checks will be on offer at City Hall and
More London. Run by  the Blood Pressure Association, Know
your Numbers! Week is the nation's biggest blood pressure
testing event during which 3,000 'Pressure Stations' will be
staffed by health professionals at venues nationwide.

BETTER BANKSIDE FRENCH BOULES TOURNAMENT
Monday 8 to Thursday 11 September
From 5.30pm at La Cave, 6-10 Borough High Street
Nine local businesses have entered a team in the first ever
Better Bankside French Boules Tournament taking place in the
courtyard outside La Cave Restaurant & Wine Bar next to
Southwark Cathedral. If you haven't entered a team, you can
still come to watch the nine teams boule it out between them
to find Bankside's Best Boulers, sample French wine and
cheese at La Cave and enjoy popular accordionist street
music - bal musette.

DIGITAL STORY TELLING TASTER SESSION AT TATE MODERN
Monday 8 September
6.15pm at Starr Auditorium, Tate Modern,  Bankside
London Transport Museum and Tate Modern hope to capture what
living and travelling in the boroughs of Southwark and
Lambeth means to local communities. Free workshops run in
December at Tate Modern. Come along to a taster session
before the Community Film Club screening to find out more.

CELEBRATORY EVENT AT JOHN HARVARD LIBRARY AHEAD OF REFURB
Saturday 13 September
2.30pm-4pm John Harvard Library, 211 Borough High St; free
Fun and games for children, young people and their families.
The party is to celebrate the successful Lottery bid to
refurbish and improve access even further for disabled users
in the library and thank users for their continued support.
The library will be closed for 9 months whilst work is

GREAT RIVER RACE

THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW AT BERMONDSEY SQUARE
