Monday 19 March
11am-1pm at Charterhouse-in-Southwark, 40 Tabard Street
Join West Bermondsey Community Forum for another informal
coffee and juice morning at its Tabard Street office. Home
made cakes and fresh fruit smoothies! Come along and meet
other local residents, share your ideas and discuss common
issues. The trees have now arrived to start the "city
orchard" so come and discuss plans for the coming year in
the garden.

FIFTY FEET AND FALLING

Based on his actual diaries, 'Fifty Feet and Falling' is a
one man play about the life and death of a friend of
Shoestring theatre company who committed suicide. This
Shoestring theatre production is brought to London by local
group Mental Fight Club as part of their 'The Play's The
Thing' project.

MAKING OUR MARK - WALK OF WITNESS - SLAVE TRADE ABOLITION
BICENTENTARY
Saturday 24 March
A Walk of Witness organised by the Church of England and led
by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York will begin at
Whitehall Place and proceed into Whitehall, across the front
of Parliament into Millbank then left over Lambeth Bridge,
right into Kennington Road and then across Kennington Park
Road into the Park. The walk is intended to assemble at
11.30am and will start at 12.15pm - and arrive at Kennington
Park for approximately 2pm. The walk will include an act of
Remembering at Lambeth Bridge. The part of the Walk from
Lambeth Bridge to Kennington Park will be in silence
accompanied by occasional drumming and a small group of
singers who will sing/beat a lament as appropriate.
