SOUTH BANK FORUM: RFH REOPENING, LICENSING AND POLICE
Thursday 8 March
7pm-9pm  at Franklin-Wilkins Building, 150 Stamford Street
Kate Hoey MP and Simon Hughes MP invite local residents to
the South Bank Forum. Agenda includes presentation on the
reopening of the Royal Festival Hall by chief executive
Michael Lynch - including details of how locals can be
involved. Other topics include late night licensing,
Lambeth's budget and an update from Southwark and Lambeth
police officers. Plus the opportunity to raise issues from
the floor.

Southwark historian Stephen Bourne gives an illustrated talk
highlighting the experiences of African Caribbean women in
Britain during the Second World War. Among those featured
will be writer and broadcaster Una Marson and service women
such as Lilian Bader (WAAF) and Connie Mark (ATS). Part of
International Women's Week in Southwark.
