WEEKEND WORK ON THE BANKSIDE 123 SITE, SOUTHWARK STREET
Saturday 28 & Sunday 29 August
Bankside 123 construction site, Southwark Street
Land Securities have contacted us to say that
permission has been granted by Southwark Council for
Bovis to work the Saturday and Sunday of the Bank
Holiday weekend.  Bovis will be relocating their site
accommodation from the western edge of the site
adjacent to Sumner Street to the corner of Zoar and
Canvey Streets on the eastern edge of the site. Cabins
will be delivered at 8am on Saturday utilising a
specially rigged and silenced City crane, work will be
carried out until 5pm. On Sunday 29 Bovis will have a
team on site erecting the cabins; work is scheduled to
take place from 10am to 5pm.  There are no works on
site on Bank Holiday Monday.

BOY, 15, SENTENCED FOR ROLLS ROAD HIT-AND-RUN
David Joyce (15) was on Thursday sentenced at the Inner
London Crown Court to four years at a young offenders'
institution for death by dangerous driving of
13-year-old Jamie Hussey in Rolls Road on 21 September
2003.

BERMONDSEY MAN TO BE SENTENCED FOR ARMED ROBBERY
A 24-year-old from Valois House at The Grange in
Bermondsey is due to be sentenced at Snaresbrook Crown
Court on Friday in connection with a series of gaming
machine thefts and betting shop robberies across
London.

COCAINE WORTH ��450,000 SEIZED IN BERMONDSEY
Police seized approximately 10 kilos of cocaine - with
a street value of ��450,000 - up to ��45,000 cash and a
large quantity of cannabis during two raids in Rolls
